The latest offering from Sacramento guerrilla poet Andru Defeye and The Philharmonik, Ultraviolet is an 808 heavy wander through outer chaos to inner calm. “I wasn’t planning on ever making another rap album,” explains Andru Defeye, “But all the songs just flooded me. They were conceived and recorded in the order they appear on the album. Philharmonik really translated the vision magically. Everything just kept lining up. It was really a kind of divine process. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
